Dr. Erika Wikstrom
Dr. Erika Wikstrom, a devoted servant leader, has dedicated 19 years to providing exceptional, rigorous instruction to students and faculty across various educational levels. Her leadership is deeply influenced by the principles of her Catholic faith, a testament to her unwavering commitment. Dr. Wikstrom’s expertise in creating tailored curricula and instructional design for students ensures academic success for learners of all abilities, cultures, and backgrounds.
Dr. Wikstrom’s tenure with the Diocese of Orlando Catholic Schools began in 2013 when she taught English and Advanced Placement Art History at Bishop Moore Catholic High School. She then became a Director of Instruction at Bishop Moore Catholic. She left Bishop Moore Catholic to become Principal of Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala and served there for three years. She returned to Bishop Moore Catholic High School in 2020 and served as Principal until 2024. Currently, she serves as the Secretary for Education and Superintendent of Catholic Schools.
Prior instructional experience includes Advanced Placement and Language Arts teaching for Orange County Public Schools. She served as an Adjunct Professor at Rollins College and a Language Arts teacher in the Upward Bound program. She was also an Elementary Educator and Middle School Program Director for Montessori at Roseborough.
Dr. Wikstrom received her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Rollins College. She then obtained her Master’s degree in History of Art from the University of York, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Glasgow, an Education Specialist degree from National Louis University, and a Doctorate in Education from National Louis University. Dr. Wikstrom has completed the Emmaus Catholic Leadership program at Boston College Roche Center and studied at Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
She and her husband, Arve, are parishioners at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She is a member of the Orlando Chapter of Legatus, a member of the Diocese of Orlando Women’s Giving Circle, member of the Orlando Museum of Art Council 101, Board of Directors of the Orlando Philharmonic, and Laps for Life Board of Directors.
