Courtney Hand

 

Courtney Rayam Hand will be serving as the Founding Vice President of Corporate Work Study for Cristo Rey Orlando. Prior to CRO, Mrs. Hand served as Faculty with the University of Central Florida’s Office of Experiential Learning (EL) helping to bridge the gap between academics and real-world applications for both students and employer partners. 

Prior to her role in the Office of Experiential Learning, Mrs. Hand served as an Assistant Director with the University of Central Florida (UCF) Career Services where she supported the management of the Career Development Team, counseled students regarding major and career choices, facilitated professional development workshops, and supported university initiatives to provide Student-to-Professional successful transitions. Before returning to Orlando, Florida where she is originally from, Mrs. Hand was the Director of Intercultural Programs at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV where she oversaw both Multicultural Programming and International Student Services. 

Mrs. Hand has also served on the Executive Boards for UCF’s Black Faculty and Staff Association, holding the position of President for the 2020-2021 year, and the Florida Career Development Association as the Professional Development Chair from 2019-2021. She earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame. She then obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling from Seton Hall University and is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Florida.
