The Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) is an innovative model that integrates professional work experience into the high school curriculum. Students work one day a week at a local business, gaining real-world skills while Corporate Partners directly support their education and invest in future talent.

Cristo Rey Orlando operates CWSP as a staffing agency. Corporate Partners contract for a full-time equivalent team of four students, each working one day per week from September to May. Students are employed by CWSP and fully covered under our insurance and compliance framework.

Our Student Associates perform a wide range of professional and project-based tasks. Depending on the workplace, students have contributed to data management and analysis, digital filing and document creation, social media support, event planning assistance, customer service and reception, translation and bilingual communication, special projects in HR, marketing, IT, and more. 

Students are capable of more than basic clerical tasks—they are trained, coachable, and ready to grow into more advanced responsibilities.

All freshmen participate in an intensive training program called the Crown Scholars Summer Institute, where they develop essential workplace skills, including communication, time management, digital literacy, and professional etiquette.

Throughout the year, students continue to receive ongoing leadership development, on-the-job coaching, support, and mentorship from CWSP staff and Corporate Partners.

This continuous cycle of training and feedback equips our students to be effective contributors in professional environments.

Not at all. CWSP partners range from local startups to national corporations. Whether your company is a boutique law firm, nonprofit, or global enterprise, we can tailor a partnership model that fits your business needs and capacity.

Students Associates are expected to meet the same standards of professionalism as any young professional in your office. This includes punctuality and consistent attendance, respectful behavior and positive attitude, responsibility for assigned tasks, and willingness to learn and grow from feedback.

Cristo Rey Orlando manages all transportation logistics to and from the workplace. This ensures punctuality and reduces any transportation-related barriers for our students or partners.

Each student is assigned a designated on-site supervisor—a key mentor who provides day-to-day support, task assignments, and feedback. Our CWSP Relationship Managers check in regularly to support students and address any concerns.

No. Cristo Rey schools operate under a unique federal Department of Labor provision that allows students as young as 14 to work in corporate environments through CWSP. All employment regulations are fully managed by Cristo Rey Orlando CWSP, ensuring compliance, safety, and a positive experience for both students and employers. 

Yes. Students can be hired during school breaks or summer months to work additional hours. During these times, they are paid directly for their work. CWSP staff can coordinate break and summer employment opportunities with you to ensure compliance and scheduling.
