The NourishU Nemours Nutrition and Wellness Lab and Family Market was created to provide Cristo Rey Orlando students with hands-on experiences that prepare them for the workforce through nutrition and health education, while also serving the food needs of our community.

Through a partnership with the Ginsburg Institute at Nemours Children's Health, our students explore nutrition and wellness in meaningful ways. Together, we address food insecurity, learn about balanced living, and foster a deeper understanding of how access to healthy food impacts our community.

The lab encourages leadership, teamwork, and responsibility — empowering students to become advocates for health and equity in their families and communities.

Spotlight on Cristo Rey Orlando

WESH 2 News visited Cristo Rey Orlando High School for the 2025 Sharing Your Christmas special and spent time in our NourishU Nemours Nutrition and Wellness Lab and Family Market. Our students shared their experiences as members of the lab, including how the program supports them and how they help manage inventory to serve our school community.

This feature also highlights our partnerships with Second Harvest Food Bank, the Ginsburg Institute at Nemours, and 4Roots, who help strengthen the impact of this important initiative.
