WHO ARE WE:

Cristo Rey Orlando High School is in Orlando, FL, and will be part of the national Cristo Rey Network. Member schools use a rigorous academic model, supported by best practices in instruction and assessment, to prepare students with a broad range of intellectual abilities for college and life. Further, CRN schools employ an innovative Corporate Work Study Program that provides students with real world work experiences. In this highly unique model, every CRN student works an average of five days a month to fund the majority of her or his schooling, gain job experience, grow in self-confidence, and realize the relevance of this education. Students work in various corporate and business settings including law firms, banks, hospitals, universities, and with other professional organizations.

Like all Cristo Rey schools, Cristo Rey Orlando is a Catholic, college preparatory high school for students of all faiths from families of limited financial means. The school is co- educational and serves students of diverse backgrounds. We help our students grow intellectually, academically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and morally. Our aspiration is that all our students graduate from high school and college and become the future leaders in our churches, institutions, businesses, nonprofits, and the community at large.

WHO WE SEEK:

We are recruiting a skilled leader who is passionate about the Cristo Rey mission. The Founding Vice President of Corporate Work Study (CWS) leads all aspects of the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) for Cristo Rey Orlando and will have primary accountability for CWS team leadership, program oversight, job sales, operations, legal compliance and executing all related program elements. This includes stewarding client relationships to cultivate new clients to achieve full and meaningful employment for all students, as well as ensuring the retention and growth of existing partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Founding Vice President of CWS plays the crucial role of effectively building and leading the CWS team while being accountable for all students being placed in a paid or funded job. This individual will understand, embrace and implement the school’s mission and philosophy as written in the Mission Effectiveness Standards, participate in the Christ-centered life of the school; and model the school’s philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues and other stakeholders. As a founding position, the Vice President will be responsible for:

• Creating and implementing the first-ever Cristo Rey Orlando High School Corporate Work Study Program.

• Implementing and leading multiple collaborative and complex projects, directing work of staff, managing budget, setting deadlines, and ensuring accountability.

• Providing guidance, leadership, and direction, including clearly defined performance expectations, and encouraging professional development for the CWS team.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• At least five years of proven success with lead generation and securing corporate sales, fundraising or sponsorship.

• At least three years’ experience leading sales teams.

• Evidence of operational processes experience and at least three years leading teams with full or partial operational functions.

• Highly collaborative, dynamic leader with the ability to manage a large number of professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including proven ability to engage and inspire a wide range of partners, build creative and mutually beneficial relationships within the corporate and nonprofit sectors.

• The executive presence to inspire organizational and professional confidence, passion and persistence in an ambitious, fast-paced, and results-oriented team, all while maintaining a positive work environment.

• Unquestionable integrity and ethical behavior that creates trust among the school’s stakeholders.

• A builder who thrives utilizing results driven approaches with a demonstrable history of successful innovative solutions.

• The maturity and skill required to optimize volunteer leadership engagement in achieving sales goals.

• Ability to recruit, develop and coach a high performance CWSP team and be able to work with other departments within the diverse culture of a Cristo Rey academic institution

• Knowledge and understanding of the community served by Cristo Rey Orlando.

• Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with demanding time frames.

• Collaborates with the Principal, Vice President of Advancement and other school leaders for the success of the students, including actively participating in student recruitment and acceptance.

• Acts independently and resolves complex issues within scope.

• Compliance with background checks required by Cristo Rey Orlando.

• Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license required; must be insurable with a good driving record.

• Complies with federal, state and local safety laws.

• Maintains a neat and safe work area.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Master’s degree preferred.

• Bilingual preferred.

• Some nights and weekends are required.

• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the President.


The Vice President, Corporate Work Study, reports to and will work directly with the founding President & CEO. They will collaborate closely with the founding leadership team. They will have an immediate impact and will manage new projects and initiatives, as well as maintain existing ones. This summary does not describe all job duties.

Applicants should be prepared to provide references upon request. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary range is $100,000 - $130,000, annually. Comprehensive benefits are included in the overall compensation package.
